India on St. Patrick’s Day 2012

KK

It’s been a few weeks since my last post. This has been a fun filled summer with friends and family. And because of that, I have lost a little momentum when it comes to sitting at the computer. I’m hoping I can get back on track soon! Here are images sent in from three friends: India, Kristin, and Derek. The first shot is one that I took while camping with my family at the Great National Sand Dunes.

Where I’ve Been…

Standard
Sometimes I think about all the places I’ve been and where my own two feet have taken me. I can’t say that I’ve climbed a mountain top or ran a marathon, but I have gone to some beautiful places, worked in  at a few great jobs, and met some amazing people along this blessed journey of life.  Today I wanted to steal the spotlight and share a few of my own personal images that I’ve taken with my HTC Evo.

a Goodwill find

I can only imagine where these cool leather shoes have been before I found them.

After my husband finished his business in Houston, we drove to the gulf to play on the beach.

making new friends in Oklahoma

A friend and I took a roadtrip this spring to deliver some ponies.
Here I snapped a shot while visiting at the Chickasaw Cultural Center in Sulphur, OK.

One day I took my niece to the park. Here is a picture of me playing on the swings.

After a long hike with the dogs, I kicked up my feet to take five.

Emily Bumba

Hey my name is Emily Bumba, I live in Illinois, and these are my shoes! They’re my favourite pair. I got them for my birthday two months ago, so I don’t have many stories attached to them, except for the story of me getting them. I did wear them when I went on a few college visits so they’ve been in 5 other states, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New York.

Friday Foot Feature

Standard

I am grateful each and every morning that my feet touch the floor when I creak and moan and groan my way out of bed.  They have carried me through 56 years of walking, running, stumbling, tripping, falling, dancing, and tiptoeing through this journey called life.Peggy

I actually took this shot as part of a daily challenge…the phrase of the day was “where you stand”…this was my literal take on that! 😉

I don’t like feet. I mean… touching feet etc. kinda creep me out. But taking pictures of mine has a whole lot meaning. It helps me to remember where I am on my own path, my journey. It was not easy to choose one, but the pic I sent you was taken at the beginning of autumn here. I was waiting outside to pick up my oldest daughter, Grenouille (no, it’s not her real name lol) to come back from school with the school bus. It was windy and grey but the bright leaves on the grass made me happy to be right here, right now, in a city and a country we’ve chosen to move to, so far from our roots. I was grateful for the chance and possibility of having one of my dream now being my reality.Nolwenn
